“Legacy media” is an American terminology used to criticize actual professional media, as opposed to internet opinions. The term is not much used in Canada, I think because we don’t buy misinformation as widely as the Americans do.

The United States has a very high population of uneducated people.

We should be boycotting the U.S. and events there now anyway.

This conversation is relatively tiny, but the media likes to amplify it for entertainment value.

Sure, for starters this statement: “Hardwick and the entire slate of 2022 TEAM candidates appeared at a far-right community space called “Freedom House.” Hardwick and some people from TEAM were invited to this event. They left. It’s false that the “entire slate” appeared. This is a non story.

So much misinformation in this post, it’s hard to know where to begin. Please try harder.

Our federal government is never named for the person who is PM. We live in a democracy and not an autocracy. It’s the Liberal Federal Government. In this era of eroding democracies, it’s wise to promote democratic terms.

As a Canadian observer, I really don’t understand this reluctance to support the Democratic Party. Aren’t they clearly about 1000x better than the disaster you have running your country right now?

Agreed. I did everything required, which took awhile, and then received an email which said they are not able to confirm my ID because of a discrepancy. I suspect that’s the difference between my full and abbreviated first name. It’s a cumbersome system, at best.
