If itβs true that the United States bombed an elementary school and killed scores of children it is an unfathomable crime. I have never been more disgusted to be an American.
wow can't believe slurs would do that
Quick question does anyone know how to restore virtue to a decaying society
NEW βWeβre celebrating a tradition that is at its core about resisting occupation and maintaining community in the face of horrors. You canβt keep politics out of Irish music. No one should try, for two reasons. First, itβs ahistorical. Second, Minnesotans are ready for a big anti-fascist party.β
@jchavezmpls.bsky.social IS A REAL ONE!!!
Holy shit!!! Iβm glad youβre safe.

Democrats may not be able to prevent Mullin's confirmation, but they can certainly turn his track record of offense and stupidity into two days of televised humiliation so spectacular that he is wounded in Trump's eyes from day 1. That is the job.
New from 404 Media: Proton Mail, the privacy-focused email service, gave authorities data that let the FBI unmask an anonymous 'Stop Cop City' protester. It was payment data linked to the anonymous email account. From that, FBI ID'd them, then tracked their movements www.404media.co/proton-mail-...

If a landlord is that strapped for cash, how the fuck are they paying for the necessary repairs, maintenance needs, etc?
i would contend that if a landlord is so strapped for cash that delaying evictions by 60 days would make them insolvent, they're an extremely bad landlord and should not be one.
this is not an amount of money any individual or household should be able to have and we have to abolish both billionaires as a group and the economic system that makes them possible
Chavez: "It's very easy to cuss at ICE, harder to do policy work to help people stay in our city, harder to pass policy to keep families together."
I initially shared this, not knowing it was a Claude screenshot (because, having never used Claude, I didnβt know what Claude screenshots looked like), and since Iβd seen similar claims in other sources I assumed this was journalism. But I should have checked it before sharing. Apologies, all.
i'm not an economist but if 900 people can afford to fund $3,000 checks to damn near everyone else in america and still be insanely fuckin rich afterwards maybe they have too much fuckin money
Yes, to be clear - NPR has confirmed the piece about the school appearing to have been targeted due to outdated data.
Washington Post and others have confirmed that Claude's being used for setting targets.
A link between the two is plausible but only Claude has "confirmed" it.
To donate havenwatch.org. Iβve never met any of these folks but honestly this is the top tier of awesomeness in Minnesota
hiring a new Executive Vice Dean of Fart Huffing to drive systemic improvements in fad-chasing while first gen immigrant students risk abduction by federal goons to get a jar of peanut butter from the on-campus food pantry
ward 9 and minneapolis as a whole are so lucky to have jason chavez. he has always been a presence in the community, and even moreso now during the ICE siege when he seems to be working nonstop to keep people safe
Jesus tapdancing Christ.
Now in March OβHara says MPD intervening and preventing heinous actions by ICE is easier said than done; but back in December it was him making easy, big promises that his subordinates would do just that.
This is known as the riddle of the trash barricades: We've established MPD is never going to intervene in cases of reckless, dangerous behavior/driving by federal agents. So why send cops to disassemble barricades erected to address a problem that police won't?
I got this today after paying a familyβs back rent to stop an eviction that had been filed. I feel that weight in my bones, and Iβm glad she gets to sleep tonight. No one should ever have to feel that fear.
I tell you, 16 years of living in North Minneapolis you just learned to accept that MPD will not do anything to keep you safe.
As always
Just thinking about how we donβt have money to keep the public hospital open but thereβs an unlimited budget for police overtime
a tiny light brown dachshund is being held up by a human who is out of frame. they are at a beautiful snowy mountain range that looks straight out of a Pinterest photo. the dachshund pup, Frankie, is wearing a full body puffer jacket that matches her light brown fur perfectly.
This is Frankie. She just got a fancy new puffer and thinks sheβs better than everyone now. And she is correct. 13/10 (IG: frankielasaucisse)
One thing I think is lost on folks who are not in the fight is how people like Ian raise thousands of dollars, covering rent for dozens of families, and STILL feel like it isnβt enough. I see it in everyone who is lending any amount of help. We are tortured by the thought that we canβt do it all.
