Thatβs one of the most important sites on the internet. Wishing the worst to whoever attacked it.
To help get myself interested, I volunteered to record all our games, I always read the tournament rules and helped everyone figure out how many goals weβd need to score and which opponents would need to win or lose for us to advance, etc.
As a dad who didnβt care about soccer when my kids started playing, I initially assumed that my wife and I could split responsibilities. She was the sporty one who signed them up, I took them to computer classes. Sports are different. Both parents should go. Youβll grow to like it.
In the Matrix, the machines were originally solar powered so humans blocked out the sun.
Alright, so I remembered it kind of right. There were two cards that unlocked games in Animal Crossing, and packs of cards that encoded data onto Dot Code that you could scan in sequence to load classic NES games to play on the GBA. Thereβs a good video describing it at youtu.be/mBoPNIIaL5c
Animal Crossing had some cards that you could scan in with the e-reader to unlock games, characters, designs, etc. in game by swiping them. I assume it was a code to unlock things but I kind of remember there being a multiple card scan for something that makes me think it was data.
I had some software that required the presence of a USB dongle, and Dreamcast had VMUs with storage and screens. Iβve also got an implant in my hand with an NFC chip that looks like it has 886 bytes of user read/write memory to work with.
I always thought that a law should be passed with a bunch of examples what it is intended to prevent built in. That way, when someone breaks it, they can judge whether it was in a way the law wasnβt actually intended to be applied.
I know how to get to most places I regularly go to, but I always throw them in the GPS because Iβll occasionally go on autopilot and miss my turn to the grocery store because itβs on my usual way to work. It helps that one in a hundred times it avoids unusual traffic.
So if all dogs go to heaven, and heaven is better than Earth, killing dogs is the best thing you could possibly do for them. No wonder they love her.
The thing that has made me want to install Linux was seeing my daughterβs boyfriend running it on a high-end desktop and using it for a few minutes before noticing it was Linux and not just his desktop theme. Iβm on a Mac now, but seeing the state of Windows 11, Iβd gladly choose Linux.
Because you turn 720 degrees and walk away
Do you pronounce the pill capsule?
Heβs got a real Jim Varney vibe going there.
Yes and no. There are differing opinions on which order to read them in. The best thing to do is read this thread which explains how to choose where to start.

I just bought The Last Hero in the US using my VPN set to New Zealand which ended up costing $2.99 US after currency conversion.
have you ever read one of my Discworld QOTDs and thought, hey, I should really get around to reading those books?
good news! the full series is back on Humble Bundle - itβs Kobo but itβs pretty easily to transfer those to your preferred e-reader
you wonβt regret it
I ran A/V for an event at a community center last year, and asked about their setup to see if they had XLR outs from their wireless mic setup. They had someone meet with me who was their expert, who I ended up having to explain their system to.
I think we were mostly in agreement rather than in debate, but yeah, the video I linked was all about trying to put values that could be compared onto different brands and models. I agree that having a standard set of tests would be good, as long as they donβt end up like Volkswagonβs emissions.
So far I havenβt replaced one and I bought them in December 2024. Of course, theyβve only gone in things like clocks, remotes, and other lower powered things, but thatβs still pretty impressive.
Energizer topped Project Farmβs rankings, but were also the most expensive. I went with POWEROWL, as they were the least expensive of the top lithium options at the time, but Energizer Ultimates are almost the same price right now, so I would go with those.

Hey, thatβs awesome. When the credit unions got hacked, they made me pay to freeze my credit. A while later they were forced to make it free, but instead of paying me back they just offered credit monitoring.
If an app has a video component, even if the audio is muted or the video doesnβt autoplay, it will often interrupt your currently playing audio. Itβs pretty common, even if it hasnβt happened to you.
I agree with this when they change course to my side, but not when they defect after Iβve voted them in. I only get to vote for you every few years, so if you run on one issue and then change sides, I should get to vote again.
At 9:18, 3rd period of the Finland-Switzerland women's ice hockey QF game, the ice crew came to clean the ice during a pause
What follows is the funniest use of the slo-mo alternate angle tech I've seen them use during these Olympics of one of the crew members falling
I love it when the finger taps when you click
One way to make me like your product less: interrupt my day asking me how much I like your product
GM: Charisma check.
Mamdani: [rolls natural 20]
GM: thatβs a d6 how did you
Mamdani: [direct to camera] Did you know you can check out board games at your local public library? π
Crazy that she wasnβt even involved in the hot dog eating contest, but the guy on stage knew that he could get a chain reaction going if he just started things off
