Shohjahonmirzo, who is facing deportation to Uzbekistan and attempted suicide has been transferred to Louisiana.
La Resistencia was able to reach out to Uzi, who was a victim of excessive force by GEO. Although Uzi says he is doing okay, he is severely injured and has not been taken to medical after being stung by a wasp to which he is severely allergic to.
We want to know if he is in medical or receiving proper medical attention. It is deeply concerning that Steven has been on hunger strike for this long and that his demands remain unmet.
It has now been a month and Steven continues his hunger strike. La Resistencia has not heard from him for several days and we are very worried for his health.

This came after he reported concern with a wasp in his unit, and he was removed from the unit while it was taken out, resulting in the excessive use of force. Uzi has been asking to see medical since then and has not been given an answer.
Uzi Gonzales Maria, who was on hunger strike earlier this year, is facing potential infections on a hand lesion that resulted after he was pinned to the ground with excessive force.
Shohjahonmirzo Abdumalikov, who was part of our FTA campaign last year, attempted to take his own life yesterday around 10pm in distress because of his pending deportation. Advocates and legal representatives have not been able to locate him since.
In addition to the 28 day hunger strike that continues, there continues to be emergencies happening inside.

To continue fighting, Steven spends most of his time lying down and sleeping. Medical provided him pain medication, but he was told that because everything is being documented, it can be used as evidence to obtain a judge's order to force-feed him through a tube.
Today is Day 28 of Steven's Antonio Chavarria Portillo's hunger strike. He continues to experience severe stomach pain and is worried for his health. During his last hunger strike, he was diagnosed with an ulcer and he believes this may be causing his current symptoms.

In Steven’s own words: "I just returned from intake to confirm that my property is still here. Detained migrants placed in segregation often say that GEO misplaces or loses their belongings, so I wanted to make sure everything was still here.
Steven still has not received updates about his case and his demands remain the same.
He has been asking to be taken to medical, but he continues to wait. Steven is worried because during his last hunger strike, the same symptoms led him to throw up blood.
La Resistencia was able to speak with Steven this morning. He is feeling extremely weak and woke up this morning with intense stomach pain.
Steven Antonio Chavarria Portillo is now on Day 27 of his hunger strike, missing 84 meals.
