Board games are toys and I think we need to celebrate that occasionally! So I made a list of board games that I think have a high toy factor because they have components that are just fun to play with.

Today I decided to ramble about two games that I am really enjoying, 23 Knives and Galactic Renaissance!

I got to play some "older" board games over the last few weeks and wanted to talk about them. Also, I will now strongly support a reprint and expansions for Adrenaline (not that anyone else is... Trying to get the movement started π).

I just bought this one a week ago! Can't wait to get it to the table!
Just played my first game of Misfits yesterday, definitely a fun stacking game!
Neon reign was a highlight of my year for 2025, just a surprise hit!
I'm a big fan of this series, I personally enjoy playing it at 2 player!
Just posted a video on a topic that's been rattling around my head for a little while. I look back at how I used to approach games and how much I've changed since starting hobby board gaming.

Just posted my review of I Made You a Mixtape! A game that I would say is full of nostalgia and good memories, but lacked the tension I enjoy in I split, you choose games. The game still brought me some joy though!

I had a lot of fun revisiting my board game plays from 2025 and highlighting those games that I can't wait to play again! I also talk about a lot of games I am looking forward to in 2026.

Going to get better at using Bluesky this year π. Starting off with sharing a fun conversation I had with my co-host Josh about some bad board game player behaviors (including one's that we are guilty of).
We're on most podcast apps or YouTube under Shelf to Table!

Whale Riders is simple to play but has enough depth to keep me engaged. I'm happy I picked up a copy when they did the reprint. I had a fun time making this review. I've been playing around with my camera settings, lighting, and editing. I think I am getting better!

I got a new light for my "studio" and made an epic intro for my board game review of Moirai. I think I did pretty good! I still screwed up the audio levels after the intro π
. As for the game, it is a nifty design but lacks the tension I look for in small box card games.

Finally! Episode 3 of the Shelf to Table podcast I do with my friend Josh is up! We talk about a lot of games with the feature topic being Pagan: Fate of a Roanoke.

I recently got Conserva, a solo bag building puzzle! This is a really neat solo game and I decided to record a playthrough of it. I'll definitely be doing a full review of this in the future.

Just posted my review of Lone Wolves, this is a 2p trick taking lane battler that I am loving!

Just posted my review of Koinobori! This is a great secret bidding and area control game using colorful Japanese carp wind socks! I'm really enjoying the game, check out my full review to find out if it is right for you.

Huge fan of Sail! Can't wait for the legacy version!
I decided to post my current top 10 board games that I want to get back to the table. Hopefully this gives people an idea of what I really like in games to help decide if I'm a reviewer worth listening to π.

Woohoo! Just hit 100 subscribers! Thanks to everyone who has decided to follow a new YouTuber βΊοΈ
I have a long list of reviews and tabletop gaming topics that I am working on, so should be another good month!
It's definitely a good one!
No particular order:
Bomb Busters
Mindbug
The Shadow Theater: The Legend of the Monkey King
Ethnos 2nd Ed
Moon Colony Bloodbath
Was bored at my hotel this morning so decided to get a playthrough uploaded! This is a fun, but overpriced game

Thanks to everyone who has watched and commented on this video! It's my first video to break 1k views! I put a good amount of work into this to make it flow and not ramble too much. I had a lot to say on this topic so more videos to come!
This morning I saw this awesome looking game on BGG hotness #1 spot and it looks sold out. Well I'm travelling and today I made my standard tourist stop at a FLGS. Lo and behold, Chicagoland Games Dice Dojo had a copy of Moon Colony Bloodbath! Now I need to fit it in my bag for the flight home π€£
Traveling this week and I always travel with The Lucky Seven. Amazing little solo card game. The designers leaned on war movie tropes to fit a ton of theme into this little box. Here's the setup right before my squad is ambushed and I lose the unlucky 8th .
Just posted a video about my love/hate relationship with co-op games! I find the main issues being players having different definitions of fun and of course the alpha gamer problem, which I think can be mitigated with simultaneous and/or real time play.

Wyrmwood has new deals up on Gamefound and I decided to share my thoughts on my Wyrmwood table. Overall, no regrets buying it (except I should have bought the larger one π) but there are some flaws.

Setting up for my review of Endeavor Deep Sea! Hopefully have it out on Saturday π
Played Raiders of Scythia and Bomb Busters yesterday! Raiders was good. I liked the place a worker and take a worker mechanic, but it did drag a bit with 4p. Bomb Busters was great! Kinda like playing Hanabi but you don't have to be an expert from the first game.
