I live in the part of Oregon that almost became the State of Jefferson (with Northern California) and has been trying since it failed in 1942. There is also a similar measure for most of eastern and southern Oregon to become part of Idaho.
Disability can happen to anyone. It’s the only minority group you can join at any point in time. Caring about Medicaid cuts is caring about your future. Caring about accessibility is caring about your future. Seeing disabled people is seeing your inevitable future.

Anxiety is a gas when you think about it. Yesterday at the doctors office the MA put out her hand to hold my purse I thought she was offering to shake my hand so I shook it. We both had a laugh, because obviously no one shakes hands with the MAs. I’m a goof.
