That doesn't sound right. "Our regulatory system isn't working so we have to put a different regulation on children"
Have you considered like... Going after the drug dealers instead

The danger here isn’t just bad policy.

It’s that experienced public servants were pushed out for not showing personal loyalty to Trump.

Government isn’t supposed to run on loyalty to one man, it’s supposed to run on competence, law, and expertise.

Lack of institutional competence makes mistakes.πŸ‘‡

It looks like it's going to be a completely nothing movie. No substance, just references. I haven't even really seen much "galaxy" in it

BDSP was *really* bad though

New York Nuremberg. However we get there, it will be the only way to prevent this from happening again.

Second: looking at something and feeling a negative emotion is a very bad way to judge things. Emotions are often nonsense.

Good point, and some zoos and aquariums are absolutely bad for the animals, but I can tell that this one probably isn't. Animals move away from stimuli they don't like, so this axolotl would be hiding behind a rock if it didn't want to be around people. Some animals are just ugly even if healthy!

Yeah if I were still religious I would believe it. The similarities are remarkable

More accurate to describe it as being a miracle if we manage to establish a functioning democracy and a proper country. We haven't had either for decades, it's just getting gradually more obvious.

The entire military and associated organizations like the CIA and such need to be abolished. Only after that can we build a completely different military focused solely on real defense as needed

They're not wrong. Harris is not a good person and would deliberately do things we'd both consider evil, she's just the lesser evil. Voting for her may have been the right choice during the election, but don't have blind support.

The Norman Rockwell hot take guy meme.

The Norman Rockwell hot take guy meme.

I think that politicians who run bad campaigns, voters, and non-voters are all equally to blame when we end up with fascist and otherwise terrible politicians winning elections.

Letting voters and non-voters off the hook is absolving them of their responsibility.

Those can be changed too. Make a law that all those must start an hour earlier. Especially school, that way you get rid of the complaints of kids getting out of school after dark

09.03.2026 03:42 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Just get up an hour earlier. It's the same thing.

09.03.2026 02:06 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

You're not getting an extra hour, you're just tricking yourself into getting up earlier. You can just have permanent standard time and then do everything an hour earlier. That way we match the rest of the world with all the same benefits

Why daylight saving time is worse for your body than standard time Daylight saving time gives us more light at the end of the day to enjoy spring and summer activities, but it can have a negative impact on our health.

Daylight Savings Time sucks and should be abolished.

You could even argue that *everyone* who US law can be applied to is a citizen under that, if that 'and' in the middle means that both of those statements are separate valid qualifications rather than both together being required

I completely understand and I thought so too, but after all the things I've seen in the world I'm not so sure anymore. I can't see any possible way for the vast majority of people in Russia or Israel to peacefully coexist with us for at least a century.

07.03.2026 23:43 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

They should, but it is inevitable that some people will be evil no matter how good you make things, and sometimes a whole lot of evil people will form their own society or culture that will then pose an existential threat to good people. I don't see a good solution to this problem besides violence.

It's not just religion, it's more about a whole, all encompassing culture of their society. You can't remove any part of it because then you'd be changing their identity, and being wannabe imperialists is part of their identity
