Poor road surfaces don’t just inconvenience people; they damage bikes, vehicles, & buses, & discourage people from choosing healthier, more sustainable ways to travel.

The government is consulting Hertfordshire residents on the shape of future local government.
The basic question is whether you think 2, 3 or 4 ‘unitary’ councils in Herts is best.
We recommend 3 is best, as a balance between size and local accountability.

Yesterday, the Green Party had massive campagning events, attended by hundreds of volunteers in Gorton and Denton and Lewisham, and still had enough volunteers for teams to go out campaigning elsewhere.

What’s happening to Councils in St Albans:
- St Albans District Council and Herts County Council abolished in 2028.
- A big ‘unitary’ council will replace them.
- That means no ‘local’ council to provide proper representation.
- We can say if we want a new parish council to cover the city.
Helping St Albans CND group spread the message for peace this Christmas.
