Dreamcore: Rabbit Hole is like Soda Raptor's Hypnagogia but at higher level of fidelity: a tour of surreal dream spaces. It also eschews Hypnagogia's game-y mechanics for a pure walking sim approach. I dig the one scene's mood, though: I'm reminded of Toys or maybe Vivarium.

A 1930 film set imagined what NYC would look like in 1980, with a 20 lane road, towering buildings and massive bridges

So unironically I think a cyberpunk story set in a retrofuturist city that ATTEMPTED the “city of the future” thing, a mix of gothic and art deco instead of the traditional “cyberpunk” aesthetic, would kinda bang actually. Just a completely unlivable space.
