Interesting article
Spot on in it's articulation of the problem, people in PR do a great job 'selling' the value of the organisations they work for but often miss the opportunity to do so for our profession
Both publicly but also within our organisations

The King is mad
Really concerned to hear the Defence Secretary refuse to rule out UK's involvement in future strikes on Iran.
Iraq lessons must be learned.
Further escalation in the Middle East makes us all less safe.
Starmer must rule out UK involvement immediately.
As we see more AI model use in medical diagnosis we'll need a serious conversation on how human validation interacts with them
Who validates and at what stage will be key to making this safe and effective

I don't often miss twitter
but old twitter would have been the best place to be to laugh at people who think Kpop is a band and not a genre

Makes me think about how standard planning templates like OASIS need to adapt going forward to help practitioners communicate in the gaps that are becoming more important
#PR #Communications
A lot of this rings true, and in particular the difficulty of keeping comms in neat buckets of campaigns, messaging, audiences
With the reality often that our work is more messy and interlinked than that

Really interesting perspective on shifting the focus of communications from messaging to relationships

Something the Government want you to forget...
In what might be the fading days of the Islamic Republic
Worth remembering that it was a desire for economic justice that propelled it to power, rather than a desire for theocracy
And it's that unmet desire that's has eroded it's foundation

Pretty cool tool to see how you're networked
The daft thing is that with Proportional Representation there'd be no need for this self-destructive war within Labour. It could split into its component parts - left and right - and people could vote for what they wanted. It's only First-Past-the-Post that forces these irreconcilables together.
This is what politics should feel like: thoughtful, honest and shaking things up.
Hannah Spencer is going to be a brilliant MP for Gorton & Denton.
It's time to stop Reform in their tracks:

Surely you can only do so many pivots before you're facing the same way you started with?
Excellent article but stark reminder that for all the perceptions of universities as ivory towers for elites, they are actually vital hubs in towns n cities supporting local businesses and providing key services as well as educationβ¦.
holy shit
Shocking story
A health service that truly serves the interests of the public will always be open, transparent and willing to learn

What stands out is that many people were drawn to free birth because of poor experiences in maternity services - i.e. over medicalisation, not being listened to
A good example of how, when people's needs aren't met they can disengage from services, creating even worse outcomes.
