Donald Trump is a fat pathetic loser. Thatβs not even opinion at this point, itβs just fact.

Can you imagine if someone pitched the idea of libraries today?
Circular bike lock stations up against a fence, blocking the walking entrance into the fenced area anytime a bike uses the open spot to the left, as seen here.
Ok but what is actually going on with this bike rack setup? You can always tell when the people designing these things have never rode a bike anywhere. π²
Also, this route is less than 15 minutes away by bike from the new development #UtahCity, which is said to lead the way in new modern and accessible neighborhoods. If the network surrounding a place isnβt great, your pocket of well developed urbanism can only help so much.
Well, thereβs about 20 feet of sidewalk before it drops stops for a bush in a ditch. But then, it continues with some wide sidewalks that are honestly quite nice, but who uses them? You canβt safely access them, so theyβre not part of the connected network.
Ugh, Utah, do better.

So, I continue anyway. Itβs not like thereβs no space on the side; itβs just not designated as a βbike lane,β although it could easily be modified into a convenient and safe route. This lack of lane persists until thereβs finally a sidewalk againβ¦
Then, it continues for a while until a stoplight, where thereβs a sign indicating that the bike lane ends abruptly. It just ends there. Imagine a car road ending while other forms of transportation can still proceed. Itβs quite bizarre.
I thought I could use the left sidewalk the entire way down, but it abruptly ends in random places. When it becomes too precarious, I had to switch to the other side of the road over the median. Fortunately, thereβs a directional bike lane to assist.
One of my weirdest discovery bike rides and to sum it up, it was basically just an endless series of bad infrastructure. Bike lane ends. Sidewalk ends. Gotta go into the road for 30 feet. Then the sidewalk isnβt accessible. Then thereβs no bike lane. Good luck.

Seems like a good day for a ride π²
Just had a job interview in person. In this market, thatβs hard to come by.
Bad Bunny performing in a beige suit
I donβt know what the MAGA crowd expects the reaction to be when they all turn off the Super Bowl halfway to watch Kid Rock sway his hips back and forth for 20 minutes.
Everyone sane is just gonna be watching the real show and it wonβt even have an effect lol.
A streetscape in Hong Kong showing cars, buildings, and signs. Greysky π

Remember when you were a kid and they had all kinds of cool interactive science books? I loved those.
Does anyone make interactive science books for adults? As in, high school/college level science, but lots of unique art, activities, and projects to do? I want one.
What happens when they just kill the good guys with a gun?
Alternatively, if smaller arterial roads were fixed, maybe it would eventually catch on to the bigger streets
If every stroad in Utah named βState Streetβ was fixed to be pedestrian and bike friendly I think it would have a positive ripple effect throughout all of #Utah. #urbanism
Highway filled with cars
Busy urban arterial filled with cars
Bike-lanes donβt cause traffic congestion.
Car dependency, dumb land-use sprawl, too many (& bigger) cars being driven too much taking up too much space, highly subsidized driving costs, and not enough choices in how to get around, ALL cause traffic congestion.
Think about it. THATβS common sense.
I like the new app update
Lots of traffic getting on the highway in Utah
Yeah I wasnβt getting on the highway here lol
Growing a list of people I block my Instagram stories from, but I really should make it a list of people to unfollow and remove as a follower.
βYeah, the ecosystem may have collapsed, but for a while, we were able to watch some really high resolution videos of it happeningβ
First time taking the train to work and Iβm surprisingly pleased with how full this train is.
Usually when I take it, itβs during non-commuter hours and it feels sad and empty.
Although I do like the space, we need crowded trains to push funding and improvements.
You know itβs getting bad when Candace Owenβs and Tucker Carlson are making good points
Weβre cooked
How is everyone doing?
So when is Jimmy Kimmel starting his podcast?
Cars and trucks in stop and go traffic on a residential stroad
One single car accident on the freeway and the whole town just gets flooded with cars. This street can get busy, but it doesnβt usually get βstop and goβ traffic busy. #bikesky #urbanism
it really is astonishing how quickly it goes from βcivil warβ and βblood in the streetsβ to βwow guys itβs just a sad tragedyβ when it becomes inconvenient
