Nothing is ever usual with Ganevat, he changes/evolves constantly with his range of cuvées… like several he is experimenting with longer sous voile ageing, as was done centuries ago.

Want a fantastic introduction to #jurawine? Then look no further than this excellent piece by @winklorch.bsky.social 🍷
Thank you @stuartcantrill.com - I had completely forgotten about this piece I wrote earlier this year!
A stack of Jura Wine books on a wooden cupboard with wine bottles in the background.
In the Stephane Tissot shop in Arbois when this stack of books is delivered… cc @winklorch.bsky.social
Late reply, sorry but I can only answer that every year is different but 2025 is shaping up to be a great vintage 🤞 . It seems to me that Jura does get more extremes than other regions. Much more on this is my Jura Wine Ten Years On book.
Thanks so much for sharing!
… and I meant, who share their Jura wines, rather than sell them on, creating the grey market (simplifying things)
I can’t afford wines from Jura unless I buy them direct in the region from the few vignerons where I can do that… yet… it’s not the vignerons who are raking it in, it’s complicated. More, I guess, in my book Jura Wine Ten Years On, available from Academie Du Vin Library. Thanks to those who share!

Reality check fm @robertjoseph.bsky.social. “Anyone who describes Gallo Pinot Grigio as ‘bad wine’ is the same kind of snob as those who declare Nescafé to be undrinkable and say they cannot imagine why anyone would want to sleep in a motorway motel.” www.meiningers-international.com/wine/opinion...
@megmaker.com sorry didn’t tag you properly in main post… just learning this.
Searching for new wine language, and at the same time going back to basics exploring how people used to write about wine? I applaud this puece from chair of the Circle of Wine Writers @megmaker www.circleofwinewriters.org/from-the-cha...
This little story I wrote for Wine Searcher last week, about the clavelin bottle for Vin Jaune being finally legally stocked on US shelves, is going further than I thought… some interesting future projects, perhaps? www.wine-searcher.com/m/2025/01/vi...
