It is hard to realize this past year that as a trans woman, my views will not be respected, many of my words will be forgotten, my work lost to time more quickly, and many of the things I have said for years will be said by cis men tomorrow who will get the credit and praise for coming up with it.

The "ICE is using military tactics suited for a warzone, not for American streets" rhetoric kinda misses the point that warzones are not naturally occuring. The US military creates war zones from residential neighborhoods and the tactics are not more justifiable just because it's overseas
Researchers from around the world made this happen. Bandim Health Project and RFK Jr.'s study was unethical and it is good that this has been cancelled. But the Danish government should investigate Bandim's role in exporting their anti-vax efforts globally. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...

These cases may seem like they are βonlyβ about whether trans girls can be banned from playing school sports because the government thinks they are not βrealβ girls, and whether the government can force all girls to prove they are βreallyβ girls before letting them playβwhich would be bad enough.
When trans women arenβt allowed to take GED classes, these are the laws they use to fight back. When prisons put trans and queer ppl in solitary bc their identities are seen as βdisruptive,β thatβs government discrimination.
2) Does the constitution protect trans ppl from unjustified government discrimination, and if so, is discrimination in sports justified?
The answers to these questions matter to all sorts of people, including our members in prison.
Today the Supreme Court is hearing arguments in critical trans rights cases, Hecox and BPJ. The questions before the Court are:
1) Does Title IX protect trans girls from discrimination at school, and if so, does that apply to sports?
