I think the biggest damage to the art community was the obsolescence of gallery sites (y!, deviantart, etc) and the rise of scroll-by social media, like twitter and even tumblr. Art is not ''content'', you shouldnt need to post art every day (or every month!) to be relevant. This mindset sucks.

This is not a single occurrence for me personally. If you generate furry "art" for artists to refrence you are asking us to be "inspired" by stolen work from our peers. They clearly didn't get paid to have their style generated. Frankly, some don't care about the ART just the final result.

Folks that know better are ones that have got art prior to AI just fine and they KNOW AI is harmful. Yet will return to artists with "I'm not creative/need help expressing" while showing AI shlop. Clearly, you were creative enough to type out a description. You just fed it to AI instead of the human

I'm very anti AI. Water is wet.

Been exhausting that its so inescapable. Had to decline or get ghosted by clients (lost income) because I refuse to work with AI images/refs from folks that KNOW BETTER.

If you can type a description to ChatgpGemiwhatev you can send it to an artist.
