On Matchday 2, a total of 29 teenagers appeared across the league this past weekend, which tied for the most in a single weekend in MLS history.
The 1,456 combined minutes played was also the most ever by a group of teenagers.

Red Bull New York's game-winning goal today from Julian Hall (17), with assists by Adri Mehmeti (16) and Matthew Dos Santos (16), marked the first goal in MLS history where three players aged 17 or younger contributed to a single goal.
With his game-winning assist this afternoon, Red Bull New York’s Adri Mehmeti (16 years, 328 days old) became the second-youngest player in MLS history to record an assist in each of the opening two games of a season (Freddy Adu, 16 years and 310 days old).
By scoring in the second half today, Red Bull New York’s Julian Hall (17 years, 341 days old) became the youngest player in MLS history, and the only teenager, to score in each of his club’s first two games to begin a season.
