If you took $1 billion and gave it to the endowment of a different small college each day, they could each provide a free college education to several hundred students per year in perpetuity. Instead we are using that money to bomb schools and kill students in Iran, for no clearly stated purpose.

I will miss Kristi Noem's inimitable constitutional insights, as when, asked by Sen. Maggie Hassan, D-N.H. at a Senate hearing to define "habeas corpus," she replied, "Habeas corpus is a constitutional right that the president has to be able to remove people from this country."

Satellite photos show California's sudden snowpack meltdown: Now you see it, now you don't Satellite images show the Sierra Nevada before and after a major heat wave melted significant portions of California's snow.

Now you see it, now you don't. Near the end of this extremely warm winter, California's snow is rapidly melting. My colleague @castleman.bsky.social shares some striking satellite images. I continue to be gobsmacked at 1) how common this formulation is 2) how antisemitic and generally bigoted it is 3) and how for all the talk of anti-semitism this is never cited as an example even though it’s quite literally the original incarnation.

The physics of reliability: Why gas peakers alone can’t save the modern grid Most outages don’t start as a multihour energy shortage; they start as a frequency crisis. If you only have gas, you’re trying to stop a bullet with a shield that takes 10Β minutes to lift, writesΒ Arun...

Five years ago it was widely assumed the grid would always need gas peaker plants. So this is quite a sentence. Good article too.

"In the energy industry, we’ve spent decades leaning on a single, reliable β€œget out of jail free” card: the natural gas peaker plant...it’s becoming a liability."

If I'm reading this right, *50% to 90%* of voters at high-turnout locations are being redirected to their precincts????

If that is causing voters to just give up, it would explain the massive undercount for Crockett thus far today in Dallas.

When Bluesky was down today I went back to Twitter and was punched in the face by the stench of abandoned aquarium. Milo Yiannopoulos, who I honestly thought was dead, stanning Hillary Clinton. Dem flaks earnestly retweeting Nick Fuentes. It’s time to cordon off anyone left and introduce alligators.

There is no better way to insulate yourself from global oil & gas price volatility than to invest in technologies that generate useful heat & power without any oil & gas input. The Trump WH attack on renewables is a direct attack on your economic security.
