Yeah. On the one hand it encourages use, but on the other it could put pressure on people to use them just because they feel like they have to. It could be a good optional rule. I'll ask players what they think in practice

I'm yet to play with a selfish or competitive group that might need more incentive though. It's an interesting thought.
I've found so far in testing that its more often the case that players have too many FP than not enough. As far as players not being willing to hand over the reigns, it hasn't happened yet, since in most cases players intentionally pass the baton after a few mins.

I really wanted to encourage spending and engagement with the system! It also means there's a momentum increase as the game goes on until someone spends big. That's the thing I spend the most time tweaking.

for those in the performing arts, what is the difference between your desire to perform and your desire to entertain? is there a meaningful difference at all? i'm genuinely curious
Personally, my desire to perform is very limited. I'm never happy being perceived, I hate too much attention and I hate seeing or hearing myself on camera. Anything I create is purely with the intention of entertaining others and part of that requires me to perform.
