RE: referenced “illegals” (ugh)… this’ll continue as long as people are foolish enough to believe it. It’s already illegal for undocumented immigrants to get medicare/medicaid/social security benefits, for better or worse. Dems are resisting drastic cuts in subsidies for lawful residents. Full stop.

This was/is currently being attempted in Michigan as well.

Having meaningful Fourth Amendment remedies in place is important because without them you eventually get this - federal agents dragging US citizens from their homes without cause.

And to think some of these institutions would willingly forfeit their academic independence and integrity as a matter of financial calculation.

All of this nonsense will reach a tipping point where people won’t tolerate it any longer. It’s hard to imagine but the day will come.
