First brew for 10 seconds gives a nice golden brown color. It tastes toasty as well.
Dried leaves smell toasty.

I was planning to gift some tea to my cousin and ended up buying extra for myself.

It has a spiced note with a hint of orchid aroma.
The dry leaves have a toasty yet sweet scent.
It was a free sample that came with my last purchase of dancong oolong.
Today’s tea: Fenghuang Dancong Milanxiang (Honey Orchid) Oolong (Spring 2025)
It’s nice, smooth, and toasty, though I can’t tell the difference with the 2021 version.
After first soak, tea leaves give off a floral honey aroma.

It certainly quite has the heady scent to it. Taste-wise, it doesn’t stand out too much from other Zhi Lan Xiang I tried, though I can sense a bit of mineral notes I get from rock tea.
After some quick soak, the wet leaves has a strong floral and fruity scent to it.
Opening the bag, the leaves smell of typical oolong with its toasty notes.
Shop says it’s one of their bestsellers and most fragrant.

Black one has quite the strong aroma though the flavor feels a bit typical for me. White one is sweeter and has a more caramel notes in comparison.
White is Musang King durian. Black is Black Thorn durian.
I finally got to try durian snowskin mooncake.
I liked this tea so much that I ordered another batch from the store, though 125g was the smallest amount for it there.

Second brew still has that vegetal taste with slightly smoky notes. I can sense a bit of floral but I can’t tell which flower. I’ve read it’s supposed to be like winter daphne but I have no idea what’s that like.

From what I read, it’s named after the shape of the fresh tea leaves.
