But of course, that would upset the same people, because all they want is the V10s back, not more electrification - and well... She's not coming back, lads. She's remarried. She's moved on. You should too. #f1
I think a lot of the criticism of the new power units could be solved by, as @hazelsouthwell.bsky.social says, just removing or loosening the restrictions on regen and battery capacity. More deployable energy means less lift and coast, more predictable deployment, and no clipping on quali laps #f1
A digital radio display. BBC radio 4 is playing. The flavour text is presumably "rigorous analysis" but there aren't enough characters for that to display so it says "rigorous anal"
Some geek at the BBC has great fun working out the character width of standard displays on radios to make it say rude things
1.5.3 Breakeven Overview A line graph is pictured with two lines rising over 5 years, it is titled Cum Benefit vs Cum Cost - 5 year, there is a legend at the bottom for Cum Benefit and Cum cost Underneath the graph there is another subtitle 1.5.4 Soft Benefits
How am I supposed to take my job seriously when I'm reading project documentation and finding *this*

Have you considered writing a memoir? (You know, with all the free time you don't have)
Because I'd read it.
I'm going to have so much more space to fill with new things!
Wait no... not that. Definitely not that.
This is good. I was already doing a clear out, throwing away stuff I was keeping for no reason. I don't need the box for my vacuum cleaner. Or the box for my TV.
I became a bit of a hoarder in the last few years, and Ive been trying to fix that.
Clearing out the cupboards is clearly over due.
Going through the cupboards, and just found some cans of Stella that went out of date in 2016!
I haven't drunk for years, and even when I did I didn't drink Stella. I don't like beer. So they must have been Sarah's, but I doubt she will want them now.
What the fuck else have I got in here...
In my opinion, Labour are failing to deliver their promised ban on conversion therapy because any legally robust definition of it would show that the NHS are doing it to trans people, and implicate this government in the practice. 4/5
Holy shit, that is amazing
No?!
This was fun, and a good reminder that we are in fact at the peak of the Furby's 7 year breeding cycle. Be aware.
1998 - 1st generation, global release
2005 - 2nd generation
2012 - 3rd generation
2019 - Evolution: The rise of the Long Furby
2026 - transcendence: Cult Y2k aesthetic meme
Check your shelf before you wreck your shelf
Is this anything?
I thought these things were safe! People stockpile this stuff for the apocalypse!
I thought it would be one of the dozens of lithium batteries in my flat that would eventually do me in. Not fucking tinned tomatoes.
PSA: if you might still have tinned tomatoes or something in the back of your cupboard that you bought during lockdown and have forgotten about - FUCKIN CHECK 'EM
I've just had one loudly explode and make a mess at the back of my cupboard. And there were some other spicy pillows back there.
I'm suffering from people like her.
I have also made a very silly purchase
FantasyGP.com screenshot: Predictions Podium 1st: Russell 2nd: Leclerc 3rd: Piastri Pole: Russell Fastest Lap: Leclerc Bonus - how many finishers: 17-19
Oh I hadn't checked yet! 186, nice! @chainbear.bsky.social did well too
These were my predictions. Shame about Piastri but he probably wouldn't made the podium anyway
There were 17 classified finishers but I guess #FantasyGP bases it on who actually crosses the finish line, which is fine if so
Ferrari have those 2003 era Renault starts, where it's worth basically 2 places off the start. So even if Russell puts it on pole every week, he's not guaranteed to lead by the end of the lap.
We'll see if that advantage lasts #f1
Well that was alright wasn't it? Decent race. There was on track passing and strategic interest. That's what we want.
Mercedes do look the quickest car, but Ferrari not far off. I think Mercedes had it either way, but Ferrari's stragedy made the gap look bigger than it was.
#f1
I fear I have reached the discover feed.
Oh yeah it's going to be messy, and mistakes will be made, and either the cars will be developed and they'll sort it all out, or the rules will be tweaked for next year... but that's F1. Same as it ever was.
But I'm, already tired of people complaining about lift and coast, or regen.
So bored already of people writing off the season and/or the new cars before we've even had the first race.
Neither the V10s or your wife are coming back. Get over it. #f1
All the tiredness of getting up early. None of the benefits of watching it live. 👍 #f1
I actually watched Quali at 6am because I woke up coughing and couldn't let back to sleep. So made a cup of tea and had just enough rewind time in the Now TV app to go back to the beginning and watch it. Then I went back to sleep. #f1
It is very relatable
Yeah, it's important Aston Martin make sure they have enough batteries to be able to compete in 25 of the 58 laps, before retiring from the race tomorrow. #f1
