I am deeply saddened by this news. Brian was a lifelong friend of all of us in the old Reynolds gang. A kind, fair man who was always incredibly good company. He always put people first, was open to ideas and always at the end of phone when you wanted him. A heartbreaking loss.

Europe really does have to stand together. The world truly depends on it. More than anything though how it communicates with the world and in particular talks to middle America will be crucial.
