Not in terms of content or credits. I’m using tuition remission so I’ve asked f there are any financial repercussions. Hope to know by Tuesday. If it’s possible to drop, then as soon as I fulfill my obligation to run Thursday’s session I’m withdrawing. I’m willing to pay back some money to get out.
Earlier today, I clarified one campus's tuition mix-up (still have to fix the parking ticket) and inquired about a possibly complicated tuition remission/refund situation.

But oh how I dislike the class and feel like I’m not learning!
My plan was fulfill obligation and bail. But I was so unhappy with this class that I am inclined to simply bail. I can take 3 credits some other time. I am also fighting a slide into depression. Dropping would give me more time for things I like. Oh, the guilt.
I’m in a class that’s disorganized and in which expectations are unclear. We developed the syllabus with the professor but she’s been passive aggressive about readings and activities. Tonight was a dog’s dinner of a debate. I’m supposed to run next week, but I really want to withdraw now.
Okay it just took a while but I heard and my proposal was accepted, so yay! It’s yay until I start writing but I don’t present until November. Lots of time to agonize.

The ice has really hampered things. The city had to send dump trucks and front loaders out to clear downtown intersections, but it is really a mess. Side streets are laughably bad. How did we get used to this in New England??
It’s a summer event, but every June RI burns a replica of the Gaspee… and some years it’s truly a cardboard cut out. I am SO GLAD my new home has a cardboard event in its reenactment canon.
Why do people make homes look like commercial spaces? So curious. So ugly. Would a cat chew on the bathroom wall? We’d wreck that interior in three days.

Many lived in Cranston, in what is now Eden Park, but was Sweden Park. I don’t remember all of the specifics (it’s been almost a decade since I was there) but they do seem to have faded away. There’s a very small population left— but a Swedish weaving place in SE Mass and some in coastal CT.
LOLOLOL the Swedes were well known labor organizers in the ports of Providence and Baltimore (and western NYS factories) and probably plenty of places I haven’t studied or worked in. Delicious.
Fam, is it normal to be ghosted by conference organizers if the proposal you submitted is NOT accepted? I've seen two different statements about notifications (accepted will know by 1/15; decisions in January 2026).

No crosswalk. One lane blocked. There are already frequent accidents at 33rd & Guilford. But I guess it’s better than the 10 foot piles downtown? As a pedestrian & bus rider, this is dangerous— and I’m pretty sturdy. A lot of bus riders/peds aren’t. Why is the priority cars and not people?
