I just got the masters in for LP6. It is finished. Never worked as hard on a group of songs as these. My most personal record yet. My brother @wicknebber.bsky.social has been in the trenches with me for over a year helping me bring this together. I cannot wait to share it with you.
A sketchpad watercolour done from Bosham as the sun went down one evening in 1970. Not sure exactly where I sat but I think the church across the water is St Nicholas at Itchenor (the spire is a little more squat than depicted here). I think G and I were with an old friend and we went for beers in a nearby pub (the Berkeley Arms? Probably a bit too posh for scruffy arty types now). I didn't have a car then so it was bus or train plus a walk.
One of my favourite old watercolours, bringing back memories of exploring the Hampshire coast by bus or train with sketch pad. This was done at beautiful Bosham in 1970 on cheap paper, catching the sun going down over Chichester harbour - see alt text

Two black-headed gulls today. The first, in flight, shows the winter colouration with just a dark spot behind the eye, while the second is starting to get the black head for which it is named, just a small patch above its bill yet to turn.

Dear Women’s USA Olympic Hockey Team — First, congratulations! Second: I drove race cars for 19 yrs & the amount of misogynistic crap I put up with in the garage was insane. The U.S. Men’s Hockey Team has now shown you their true colors. Believe them. They’re not friends of your team or women in general. I’m so tired of this misogyny in sports & everywhere else in American life, to be honest. The patriarchy sucks. Grow the fuck up or hand the keys over to the ladies. Maybe it’s time we drive.

Hmmm, so I might be getting my sister's 2001 Miata. I painted it and put a new roof on it when she bought it about 4 years ago. Nice looking car but she's had two kids since then and my brother in law wants the parking space for the new minivan. She has no time to Miata anymore.
