@gergely.pragmaticengineer.com I really like how you weave the story of an ad into the podcast episode story. Well done Sir!
I'm looking for a/multiple co-host(s) for go podcast(). The show turned 4 years this month and I'd like some freshness for the next phase. There's a post in /r/golang if anyone's want to know more. Podcasting is hard, and I'll admit that I'm not the most consistent host, but I want to continue.
You are always #1 on my list
@deadprogram.com Can you please link me to the person who is working with tinygo and genetics you mentioned on @fallthrough.fm ? Unfortunately the show notes does not list them.
@fallthrough.fm thoroughly enjoyed the episode with @deadprogram.com Thank you for featuring him and his work.
Isn't this how GE went down? Showing future bookings as revenue and boosting stock!

Mr. @scott.hanselman.com you have arrived!! I asked how can I quickly get up to speed on latest .net after spending 4 years in go land and here's the response I got
This is awesome. However goose has been extremely slow for me using Gemini. The same actions are performed fairly quickly by the charm crush agent. How do I figure out why it's so slow for me?
What is the best LLM to use with @opensource.block.xyz Goose? Gemini has been extremely slow for me ๐ข
Running @opensource.block.xyz Goose hooked up to Gemini-2.5-pro is extremely slow. It's been in thinking mode for the last 5 minutes.
Other than @opensource.block.xyz 's Goose, none of the AI agents integrate with custom MCP servers seamlessly. Thanks team Goose
@gergely.pragmaticengineer.com thank you for creating the audio version of The Software Engineer's guide book. I seldom find time to read a book and kla physical or ebook would have sat on the desk for a long time. Loved the advice and guidance in the book.
The Software Engineer's Guidebook by @gergely.pragmaticengineer.com should be required reading. Just finished Chapter 1 and so much invaluable information!! If you are a senior engineer, gift a copy to an up and coming engineer. They will thank you later.
I wonder if this is an issue in pocketcast on Android. Here's are the screenshots
@gergely.pragmaticengineer.com curious why links to guest's social media links are not included in the exhaustive show notes. Love the podcast.
@fallthrough.fm helllllooooo love the outro
@fafo.fm @withenoughcoffee.com despite growing up knowing about IITs and their foreign government collaboration, it never occurred to me to ask about the differences among them. ๐ซก I love that you ask such great questions. ๐๐ Another great episode
@gergely.pragmaticengineer.com I learned of the atrocities committed by Soviets on Hungarians visiting House of Terror in Budapest. Growing up in India, USSR was a friend of India. But I was horrified to see the things done post WW. And I am surprised by the recent rightward tilt of Hungry.
Since general purpose LLMs are expensive to run, there's a trend toward using a collection of experts, smaller purpose tuned SLMs. Aren't we back to micro services?
Really sad that I have to miss this. Had I know earlier, would have rescheduled vacay ๐ญ
It is fun to play with other people's money, especially when the outcome doesn't affect you at all.
OMG!! 3 of my favorite people on a single episode!! OMG! OMG!! OMG!!!
Today I'm proud to launch your new favourite Go book in early access!
This book will go to a depth not seen before in Go books, and the first three chapters are available right now:

This tune reminds me of @fafo.fm outro music ๐
@fallthrough.fm I subscribed to the podcast through pocket casts but don't have access to the extra stuff. Is there another kind of subscription that gets me the extra stuff?
I get confused between tool and resource. When do we use each? The resource definition says it gets resources from a URL? Am I asking the AI agent to download resources from an URL I give it? ๐ค
Check out @opensource.block.xyz 's Codename Goose. Goose + ollama + MCP is a great combo
Can we agree to call it an Agent with a Job?
