Well, that sucks. I really liked @hbomax.bsky.social . I guess it’s back to the age of physical media buying before the Ellisons fuck up every option on earth.

I’ll always have a soft spot for the name “Wondercon”, but it’ll always be the Oakland version that means something. It’s where I’d cut school to attend, and it’s where I made all of my first real comics friendships on a pro level.

It was at this show where I looked up from my table and Will Eisner was watching me draw. And I had three offers from various publishers to publish Soulwind. It came out the following year from @imagecomics.com . OAKLAND’s Wondercon is where I got my start. @comicconoakland.com will fill this space.
