High-quality listening evokes Kama Muta, a social emotion of being “moved by love.” Across 3 studies (N=1,126), both speakers & listeners felt more moved when listening was of high-quality. @kgdemarree.bsky.social

What happens when we bring high-quality listening to a bipartisan conversation? In 3 experiments (N=1,390), we found that:
Speakers felt more open and more willing to engage again, but there was no change.

Are impact index calculations based on the final publication date? If so, then journals have an incentive to have the papers available but not "published" for a while, as there are more chances to be seen/cited in the critical window used to calculate impact.
I suspect letters say as much about the letter writer as about the student - we would need a social relations model analysis to isolate rater and target effects. Since we usually only have one letter from each letter writer, the rater effect and the target effect are fully confounded.
