This is the most eldritch dress I have ever seen.
@penguin-ponders
I just want a place to talk about books again. Neurodivergent, Disabled, Queer. Canadian Any pronouns Trans rights are human rights. Support BIPOC folk. Everyone deserves rep, rights and access Post GenAI, get blocked
This is the most eldritch dress I have ever seen.
Yeah, there's something happening there for sure. I think some clinics run on the 'as many patients as health care will pay for' model, and some give more room.
In my experience Canadian health care varies wildly based on who your doctor is. I finally have one who listens and it's been such a huge improvement. The bad ones are very toxic.
Glad you're getting the good care!
It's best to pick a variety of cheap toys to see what the cats like. One of ours loves springs, the other ignores it. Ditto catnip toys (yeow brand our fav), balls and crinkly toys. Laser pointer everyone loves, just be careful to never point at their face.
We use a soft sided carrier because I can hold it one handed when using a cane. Leave it out a day ahead of time to stop the cat from going 'oh no vet visit' and hiding.
Magnets on cupboard doors work well to cat-proof the food cupboard. One of our cats is easily bored so we alternate food flavors.
Essential cat kit in our house is a simple spray bottle of water. Best way to stop a cat from misbehaving, with no chance of actual harm
We use the box within a box system for our litter, which helps with the amount of litter being kicked up. Oka Cat is our fav
Also Otters!
There used to be an old sign by the path, warning passers-by of the local sleeping willow, which would trap the unwary with fatigue, engulf them while they slept, and release them a hundred years later.
There was a new sign:
"This sleeping willow is full."
And a map of other locations to try.
a fluffy grey tabby asleep with his paws up, in a cardboard box lined with a grey blanket. above him is a whiteboard reading "WRITING ASSISTANT" and an arrow pointing to him
I got a whiteboard at the dollar store the other day and finally put it up
I may not end up actually using it but in the meantime it is useful for mocking the cat
Sometimes fashion shows provide cognitive dissonance for me, or lovely art, but the ones I enjoy the most feel character driven, like this one. Book covers and genres popping into my head.
it does look like it's opt in by publishers so not all books are being fed in (yet) but it still gives me major ick
A small Northern Pygmy-Owl with bright yellow eyes and spotted brown and white feathers, perched on a mossy tree branch.
A Northern Pygmy-Owl from this morning.

Every so often I go and watch the theme song to Sanctuary Moon again
thanks for the notice
Feet up is free and amazingly effective for me too.
It's fine If I get the Tiffany Earworm, I'll just go watch Weird Al's I think I'm a Clone now and i'm sure that'll clear it right up.
The pronoun labeler, which was by far the most useful labeler on the site, was deleted by its creator. But thanks to @ripperoni.com thereβs a new one available. I highly recommend it. Itβs a great way to share your pronouns or see someone elseβs pronouns at a glance.

Last Saskatchewan River Pirate would be amazing though might not be best for ice dance
I usually stick with the classic cheese-and-gravy poutine but I'd sure give that a try. That looks like the right proportion of gravy to me. :)
I had like one line in a reglious textbook that was basically 'they exist and thats bad'
It may be time to start over.
Only this time we'll be a moss based society, where pinecones are general currency, owls keep the peace, and the dark magic of the old forest gods entertain us through the night.
find a spice mix (or a few) that you love and put it on whatever protein is on sale. Frozen meats and veggies are very good these days and often cheaper.
yeah i said something of the same back
My brain is so fried it took me seeing this 5 times before I stopped picturing an aquatic mammal.
My Spouse insists the Tim Hortons Vanilla Cappuccino is the only good one, and refuses all others. He has to add a little more than the instructions too.
Trivia from when i worked there long ago: there was no readout on the machines saying when the powder is getting low or out
Oh yeah, it included the line 'We are aware of online discussion regarding a U.S. property owned by Jim Pattison Developments.'
Be helpful if you can.
Be prickly when you have to.
Be someone's light in the darkness.
Be the reason a forest is considered haunted.
But most of all, be kind and stay weird.
I got a very fast reply to my email to Pattison food group.
"Pattison Food Group and its retail banners operate separately within the Jim Pattison Group and are not involved in real estate decisions made by Jim Pattison Developments."
Corps wrongly thinking they can split the difference i guess
