Landscape format in acrylic on canvas. In a field of long yellow grass a large outbuilding with rusted corrugated roof occupies left half of painting with very dark shadow side facing viewer. It extends beyond the left edge of the painting. Wooden posts holding a wire fence run diagonally through foreground. Tall yellow-flowered weeds stand out against the dark shadow side of the outbuilding while bright grey gable end with small windows is in sun. Behind into the right half of the picture is a smaller outbuilding and in the top left corner above the corrugated roof is green foliage of a tree-top. At the far end of the field, visible by the right edge, is a hedgerow of very dark green with brighter uneven top. Beyond it are pale turquoise and purple hills in front of pale blue mountains, the furthest one with a distinctive conical peak reaching up to near the top of the painting. Sky is light blue with large white soft clouds. Signed bottom right in dark blue on the long yellow grass, Liam Daly
Time for a #painting. From a few years ago, "Mayo Shed" came out of an idyllic day in the west of Ireland where I cycled from County Galway north and around the back of Croagh Patrick. This was an outbuilding I enjoyed seeing before coming in Louisburgh as I headed towards Clew Bay. #art #SpeirGhorm
Pretty sure Iβm a descendant of this guy. Not because of the same surname and my Fermanagh roots mind. More so that whole βwin but also totally loseβ scenario is very like me.

Hey! Happy ponder-my-inevitable-demise-and-accept-that-everything-under-the-Sun-is-vanity-and vexation Day! How you doinβ?
Just started listening to the Shropshire Witches this very morning. Fascinating stuff. β¨β¨
"Upon 1 February, when the Irish, Hebrideans, and Manx were (presumably) feasting in honour of Brigid, the British were expected to eat only bread and drink only water. Then the next day dawned and (in the words of a fourteenthcentury Shropshire monk, John Mirk) churches βmade great melodyβ"

Sprig of berries and heather flowers bound with bright lemon coloured wool on a wiry grey doormat
Lookit, Iβm not saying my little offering last night, clipped from my gardenβs heather and berries, and placed on the liminal doormat, is what brought this break in the bad weather. But Iβm not *not* saying that either, like. #Imbolc #LΓ‘FheileBrΓde #SpΓ©irGhorm

Yeah β I mainly use a table spoon these days. Iβd usually have a fork to hand. Almost never a knife.
Funnily enough 2001 used to be on TV in the early β80s as a matinΓ©e. My classmates were part-bemused, part-irritated. Also my childhood TV mornings often involved Harold Lloyd, Laurel
Hardy, and Lβil Rascals
I know the final disaster at the end has memory-holed this, and also aviationβs eco-impact, but itβs odd thinking that there was a commercial aeroplane capable of such speed (in the past) and now (in the future) there isnβt.
Book marking this episode for a re-listen mid-March. Itβs a goodie.
Yeah, itβs kind of like those micro-Churches you get in the US: the lines are very blurred between personality, political affiliation and religious faith.
Iβd say itβs more dogmatic and ideologically driven rather than delusion. He has active support and encouragement from his family members. So heβs operating out of a group context to some degree, rather than being a complete outlier.

Fantastic. It canβt have been easy to get that many parliamentarians to address a rare condition in the house. Well done to all involved and to those who addressed it

Shades there of my trip to the cinema to see Netflixβs The Irishman. I took a half day from work, missed the first ten minutes and had to leg it as the credits scrolled because the kids were due to be collected from Creche. Coulda/shoulda been a 3 or 4 part limited miniseries, Netflix.

X is not valuable territory to be recaptured in a war, it is a propaganda radio station that needs to be shut down, because it is now supporting criminal activity. Tuning in to that station does nothing but boost its audience figures.
