Pregnant women vaccinated against COVID-19 less likely to be hospitalized or deliver prematurely, new data show

Pregnant women who develop COVID-19 after vaccination are much less likely to be hospitalised, need intensive care, or deliver early.

A Canadian study of nearly 20,000 pregnant women found vaccination cut hospitalisation risk by 62% and critical care risk by 90% compared with unvaccinated women.

Low Birth Rates Are Here To Stay | Opinion Individuals and families need to be supported by a strong social safety net that includes paid leave and a robust child care infrastructure. There are no quick fixes.

Having children is a commitment to the future.
And too many people don’t feel secure enough about their lives now or in the future to make that commitment and have the children they’d like.
