Our AHIL volunteers had a wonderful time attending the Illinois Housing Council's Affordable Housing Forum last week! It was great connecting with advocates, developers, and policymakers working to tackle Illinois’ housing shortage. 🏘️

Housing costs now top crime as Chicago voters’ biggest worry, poll finds The results represent a shift from 2022, when a similar poll by Illinois Realtors found crime and gun violence led voters’ worries by a wide margin.

In a recent poll conducted for Illinois Realtors, "41% of people registered and planning to vote put housing affordability at the top of their list of worries", far exceeding crime and gun violence, which received 23%.
