Watched I NEVER SANG FOR MY FATHER w/ my BFF & couldn’t stop crying at the end. Maybe because I relate too much. Gene Hackman & Melvyn Douglas are fantastic as a widowed son thrust into having to care for his declining Father who he’s not close to.

Pâté en Croûte of pork, foie gras, pistachio and cranberry with house mustard on a white plate with green leafed pink flowers at Chantecler.
Half a duck consisting of a confit leg and dry-aged breast with a cranberry glaze, charred onion soubise and cranberry jus on a white and silver lined plate at Chantecler.
Fries with lemon and house-made aioli on a white plate with a pink and gold floral pattern at Chantecler.
Champagne and mint sorbet with a lit birthday candle in a glass bowl on a doilied white plate and Paris- Brest (pâté à choux, hazelnut praline cream, almond croquant and honey behind on a glass plate at Chantecler.
Birthday Dinner @ Chantecler (another fave restaurant) on an extremely mild evening (didn’t even mind the rain). Standouts were the Pâté en Croute, the Half Duck, their Fries (always order them) & the Paris-Brest. I like their Steak Tartare too (not pictured). Drank a Trebbiano Toscano from Chianti.
