a) they didn’t grow up with it and never fell in love with it
b) there are plenty of new stories to enjoy
c) the author is a hateful millionaire obsessed with bullying a tiny minority, so parents don’t show it to them
... and he simply didn't notice, because he did none of the work and he had no idea about what goes into planning something like that. But he was still happy to get up on that stage!
This reminds me of the time that me and some friends planned a protest against oil drilling in the Arctic. At the event one of the (older) guys said in a speech that "the girls organised all of this so easily, like they were planning a dinner party" and I was so mad because we worked SO HARD ...
