4. Morphine at some Chicago street fest either 1998 or 1999. I must've had something important going on because my buddies all went but I had to skip. Mark Sandman would pass shortly thereafter and so I never got a chance to see them live.

Morphine still feels like a "new" band to me.
Nearly 27 years gone, still missing Morphine and Mark Sandman. I got invited to an industry party at Mama Kin in Boston. Morphine were the opener. "WTF kind of band calls itself 'Morphine'?"
Then this sound came out. One of the finest things the '90s created.
