Ooh lovely. Iโd planned to swim earlier this morning until the thunderstorm rolled through. Iโll take a longer swim tomorrow morning instead. Always great to have a swim when not rushing for another appointment!

That was fucking frustrating! But 206 streak so winking.
Nice seeing you this morning. Was a fantastic day for a swim!
Just being together and talking will be comforting for her.
Iโm so very sorry to hear about Vโs dad. Thinking of you all.

What very frabjous!
A swimming pool with lane ropes
Sucks both adult and baby, in or near the swimming pool
My local outdoor pool is open for the summer season, and I couldnโt be happier. Two minutes from my house. Nice to see @marcuskelson.bsky.social there today too!
An empty outdoor swimming pool with lane ropes. There is a blue sky overhead.
Also our outdoor pool season opened last weekend - but only across the border.
So across the border we go.
A grouping of spice and herb jars with labels on top ready to affix.
The carpet-bugs-in-the-pantry saga continues.
We are now spraying every shelf with a vinegar solution. And got the herbs and spices situation under control. (Labels have to go on top because the pantry is old and unlit and I donโt feel like wearing a head torch every time I cook.)
A label maker sits on a table next to a container clear container of Risoni or orzo. Therr are two labels on the fountained saying Risoni. The screen of the label maker says KISS MY BUTT.
Anyway
Last night I realised I had a bug infestation in the pantry ๐คฎ. So we cleaned up the worst shelves, absolutely scrubbed. Threw out far too much food, and thank heavens it was bin night. But honestly it was disgusting.
I need to clean four more shelves. So I procrasticleaned the windows instead ๐
Happy birthday!

Crawled under the roller door as it was closing (11.47 pm)
Mr Tanuki!
So my #dailywalk fell into a bit of a hole when I returned from Melbourne late last week with the most incredible ankle pain. Physio diagnosed me with some weird tibialis tendinitis that runners get. lol. RUNNERS. Anyway back to the pool I go.
Day 3 of the #dailywalk self-challenge. Forgot to track activity but I did do over 9000 steps for the day which is pretty bloody huge for myasthenic wobbly legs. Lots of walking through State Library and to theatre that night. Also swam 1000m in the hotel pool which helped with my ankles immensely.
Day 2 of #dailywalk and well Iโm visiting Melbourne so Iโve walked EVERYWHERE and my feet hurt but hey who cares because ART.
Ooh tell me about your fence guy. Iโve had two quotes so far but need a third for the ACT government house next door.
Fitness app workout stats for a walk. I did 1.12 km in 16:29 with an average pace of 14 mins 38 secs per kilometre.
Blue blue blue sky with a white blossom tree in the foreground. Itโs spring.
Felt like a walk so I did a walk. Wonky legs struggled and heaps of paranoia over shit footpaths I can trip over but I managed a bit over a kilometre with Nordic poles.
I guess I make this a daily thing this month to regain confidence and also leg strength?

Apparently their respective doctors told them both to stop getting the covid booster. Even though covid caused me to get a life threatening autoimmune disease ๐
If theyโre anything like my parents in QLD, they believe they are invincible and that vaccines are unnecessary ๐
Heavily into sewing gifts at the moment. A glasses case with vintage Japanese fabric, some drink coasters and now another friend and I are making a quilt from our respective sewing rooms, for a mutual friend. (Lots of texting of photos happening to make sure we are on the right page).
And also I might do some gardening. Highly significant.
Sadly Iโve had a few friends come down with Influenza A and all have been vaccinated against it. And thatโs why so many people are wearing masks at the shops at the moment (I feel like I have comrades again!)
Gโday. Forgot about this app for a bit, soz. What have I been up to? Swimming, quilting, embroidery, travel. All the best things in life that retirement can offer. Today I had massive scanxiety for my 6-monthly thymoma oncology appointment. But all made better by breakfast and a book straight after.
Got it in 3. So did my mum. Use that word regularly - we both sew.
