I think we need to rake out the arisings that couldn't be removed rom our pond at KIlsby Lane LWS nr.Rugby. Water has filled the pond and floated them and they're rotting causing algal growth. A job for next week's work party. Grassland management done and ongoing.

Great news on one level... but also an example of nature being pushed to the absolute fringes, in isolated, inaccessible places. Is this as good as it gets for nature in Britain? Are railway and roadside verges the few places nature can exist in modern Britain?

The enigmatic sight and sounds of Ravens at WKH will fit the emerging landscape perfectly. Fantastic project with a trio of approaches.

On Monday we joined up with @3countieshuntsabs.bsky.social and Severn Vale Hunt Saboteurs to stop the Dummer Beagles hunting hares in Barrington Park.

No bribery involved in this capture as this particular Jay seemed quite chilled in my presence .. which is rare I grant .. but I still had to do some stealthy slow moves to get that little bit closer 😊
