Yeah, it was already a bad situation for indie hospitality owners running on passion and drive and then corporation tax went up. Forgot to mention that blow in the previous whinge.
Employer NI contributions have still gone up. Business rates relief is still being stripped back despite the u-turn package (which excludes restaurants). Alcohol duty has still gone up. VAT for the industry is still the highest in Europe. Energy bills are still extortionate! #savehospitality

A little renovation powered by a whole lot of love and community! A crack team of Hanwell Massive members have helped us with a refresh and we’ll be back open with our new look on Wednesday 21st January! Not long to wait now!
Adios 2025. Here’s how we saw in 2026. There’s still a bit of cask ale left from Wednesday so we’ll be doing £4 a pint on takeout beer. Bring your own growler. I’ll be in 3-7pm getting started with some maintenance work with the help from some of the Hanwell Massive!
