Sheffield city centre viewed from Parkwood Springs. presents a different angle compared to the amphitheatre view. will have to go back on a less misty day.
uphill path in parkwood springs. slightly pleasant.
pleasing woodland path snaking its way along in parkwood springs.
some sort of goose/geese on the weir at near ball street bridge.
got the bus to parkwood springs and then walked home

i did go bowling but i didnt go to the casino
frontage of the casino in sheffield city centre at night. some nice red lighting.
tenpin bowling alley in sheffield city centre. it doesnt feel as fun now the pins are on strings but the machines do seem much more reliable now. apart from the lane we were one always put the 9 pin down no matter if you'd already hit it or not.
some birthday wandering last week

synthesizer setup comprising a korg multipoly, digitakt 2, and moog subharmonicon
This is my current setup. The subharmonicon is fairly new so doesnt really feature on the album. I record it all to tape and then play it into Ableton to digitise it.
This is some more ambient music that I have made.

went over to crookes yesterday. some nice changes in elevation over there

its a great ceiling
not been in that place since it got redone and i think its really nice. bit murky for photos though. i am using affinty photo2 to process my raws and i dont like how the noise reduction looks so why not lean into it a little.
double bass player, and drummer in background, from the blue 7 jazz band in the Abbeydale ballroom cocktail bar space. there are neon signs in the background too

Badger Alley, it goes from the top of Cockayne Place to Crawford Road. I don't think I've walked down it before.
A bench looking uphill towards the Bishops House in Meersbrook Park
Wooded path on the other side of the crest in Meersbrook Park
Can't remember exactly which road this is but its one of the ones near Thorpe House Avenue, etc.
went for a foggy local walk around Meersbrook.

weston park musuem on a cold grey day with a small amount of snow covering the grass
the minimal sprinkling of snow we had on friday morning from my walk to the physio.
the neon China Town restaurant sign at the town end of London Rd.
the little indoor walkway between fargate and orchard square. rare for it to not have anyone in it.
tower that is sort of behind the roebuck pub?
another neon sign at the town end of london road.
some night shots

the lens maybe isn't the sharpest but its lots of fun and it feels challenging have to get right up to stuff to try and get it to fill the frame.
these are all taken with the tamron 17-35mm 2.8-4 that i got recently. i wanted to get a 28mm prime but the 2nd hand ones sold out and this lens seemed like a good way to try the wider end of things.
tree trunk with roots that seem to have been exposed due to erosion?
roots
moss (or lichen, idk) covering a tree trunk. there is another tree trunk similarly covered in the background but it is obscured with bokeh
a clump of mushrooms nestling at the base of a tree. there is a lot of them and they are orangey in colour.
a shot of the main grassy part of endcliffe park. the majority of the shot is grass or vaguely moody sky with a thin sliver of houses in the middle. much food for thought there.
moss covering the roof near the wheel house? the red door is also visible.
went on a walk through endcliffe park to forge dam

thanks!
bonus cow sculpture up at the manor. 16,000 steps my little tracker says i did.
tree, path, and gravestones in city road cemetery. there is a fairly heavy mist in the background.
looking down the tree lined avenue towards the norfolk park gates. there is a heavy mist semi-obscuring the gate
pavement and tram tracks somewhere up in arbourthorne. again there is a heavy mist.
wonky goalposts on st aidans playing field. there is heavy mist and you can just about make out the goalpost at the far end of the pitch.
went and wandered around in the mist earlier with a new (to me) 17-35mm lens. I think i have a sort of shyness when photographing so this lens forces you to get right up to whatever you want to take a photo of.

view down the river next to the sheafbank works. they sky was sort of pretty. sometimes you see a heron on the weir bit
entrance to the underpass near sheafbank works. it is evening and the area is covered in graffiti
groundfloor walkway of one of the residential buildings behind waitrose
stripey facade-d stairwell in the west one complex. i have not noticed the stripes before but that doesn't mean they are new.

more sheffield photo wandering. fairly challenging at the moment as it seems to always be dark when i am out, but the challenge is good?

this was a thing that I did this year. it was a big collaborative effort and it was probably the best thing I've ever done?
been busy with music, and back pain, lately but have still been lugging my camera about.
