Alas, what is life but a cruel joke played upon us by an indifferent universe? Yet, as absurd as it may seem, we persist in our pursuit of happiness, like moths drawn to a flame, forgetting that the flame will eventually consume us. Perhaps it is our folly that makes life worth living.
