Yeah looking further for Honda it seems like 140k fits and civics from 2014-2015 had a CVT control software recall on it that this car was not impacted by, probably leading to that reputation (plus people not maintaining it or driving too hard). Overthinking this lol
I accidentally just googled "2014 CVT failure" and a bunch of Nissan Pathfinder stuff came up which, as you say, seems way too big a car for that lol
