Drosera roseana (I think)
One of the pygmy sundews that is endemic to the south coast of Western Australia. This species can be seen growing between Northcliffe and Albany, often on the margins of swampy areas.

Oh that's so sad. Why? I despair of Australia sometimes, it's like we want to suffer.
Centrelink recipients and renters have been demonised to the point that it's difficult for the landlord class (that's almost of our elected representatives) to recognise that they are human, or to consider their suffering as anything other than deserved.

Thank you. Part-time work whenever health allowed it (since being granted DSP in 1996) paying tax, all reported accurately to Centrelink so the payment could be adjusted which it was. Robodebt destroyed the ability to work and to safely live independently. I wish I had a happy twist to this tale.

Robodebt gave me PTSD to the point where it's not possible for me to engage with Centrelink in any way at all without a support worker (I have 2 hours state funded support from WA Mental Health Commission) or volunteer advocate to speak on my behalf.

Robodebt taught me that the cruelty is the point... but Labor's to blame for the insult that is NACC, and this shocking betrayal of vulnerable people - women and children - handing violent abusers this weapon. People will die.

Agreed. So sad to watch "our ABC" aimlessly wandering through the motions, necromancing long dead "controversies" to try to entice a soupcon of outrage from their remaining audience.
And many disabled people feel that it's not safe for them to move in with a lover, or to marry as the loss of independent basic income can make them incredibly vulnerable, especially if they lose DSP entirely, and would be required to apply again from scratch in the event of a split.

It's all so unnecessary. If I had a little less of this cruelty, might have more capacity to work part time, serve the community, volunteer. Instead there's too much relentless suffering to try to transcend instead of being permitted a little privacy and dignity.

It's also why sharing a house with others is often too difficult too, as it's another excuse for invasion of privacy and also, rent assistance decreases due to (assumed) savings through sharing.
