I can't entirely disengage from the book or the gram at the moment, but a shift is happening. As someone on a team curating a safe and welcoming space for like-minded creatives, I know there is a devastating risk of destroying the one thing we have been using it to foster: our community.
FOMO can be real. Sometimes, I wonder what happened to someone on a message board I left over a decade ago. I've ghosted the ghost app and flown from the bird app. Who knows if this airspace will survive, but if you can remember this username, you can find me.
As a chronically online person who has spent time curating social media presences for myself and others (for both fun and profit), AND as a millennial, stepping back from platforms feels like cutting off an arm.
