I went a bit quiet on here. Navigating the sea of change. I transferred to the Bar and started my journey with Trinity Chambers in Newcastle/Middlesbrough. Focusing on completing my 3 months of practising pupillage and every step taken so far has been a humbling experience.

A lady was staring at me at the supermarket yesterday whilst out shopping with my little girl and mum. I was a little uncomfortable so kept my focus on what I was picking but then she just blurted out, “you look like a model, are you one”, warm smiles all around. I replied, I am not but thank you.
Definitely like that about this app.

I attended a lunch and learn event hosted by women in law UK a few years ago and we were talking about caring for our minds to avoid mental overload. One of the best tips I was given was to have a note pad by my bed to jot down my ideas and avoid the urge to grab my phone. A game changer

Really chuffed to have won the award for regional champion at the Resolution awards last night. We never know where life will lead us, from Nigeria to London detoured through Huddersfield for my LPC and then to Darlington. Could never have foreseen where I am right now. Gratitude is a must.
Violence against women is abhorrent and must not be tolerated in all corners of our society. For Rebecca’s children, their mum and breadwinner is now no longer with them.

It has been one heck of a day preparing for a hearing which is likely to settle and which I hope will settle to ensure conclusion of a very long drawn out case for all involved. Fingers crossed that tomorrow sees me getting it over the line.

I have just spent over 4 hours cooking all sorts of Nigerian delicacies for my bonus nephew to celebrate his A Level results. I am tired but not tired (really cannot) explain it because of the joy I feel that he outdid himself despite all the pain we have been through.
