Free idea for a final conlaw exam: "Compare Beck's methodology with the Supreme Court's process of constitutional decisionmaking in the cases we have studied. Is it more or less reliable? Support your analysis with specific examples."
β.. the prospect of Ms. Halligan losing her license could serve as a check on administration lawyers who have been accused by judges of pushing the boundaries of the law or intentionally misleading the courts, which has happened frequently in recent months.β

Click below to download the toolkit & share the link w/ everyone you know. The more lawyers who download the toolkit, the more lawyers who will fight for the Rule of Law. Importantly, much of our toolkit is as applicable to non-lawyers as lawyers. theruleoflawyers.org

From βGetting in the Gameβ to βBeing a Hero,β our initiative seeks to empower those lawyers that would like to stand up for democracy and havenβt yet had an opportunity to do so, as well as those lawyers who have already taken action but would like to do more. 5/6
This is where our new toolkit, The Rule of Lawyers, comes in. Our toolkit meets lawyers where they are to provide them with a range of options to make a difference, from taking on pro bono legal work to using their cultural, moral, & economic power as organizers & educators. 4/6
This is for many reasons, including personal or professional fear, questions about whether any one individual can make a difference, and hope the situation will simply go away. It is also because most lawyers, even if they want to do something, donβt know what to do. 3/6
While we have seen an impressive effort from civil rights and pro-democracy organizations to litigate against anti-democratic activities, the vast majority of the nationβs 1.3 million lawyers have remained on the sidelines of the fight against democratic backsliding. 2/6
Thank you for doing this. Many lawyers arenβt sure how they can help because we are not immigration, civil rights or election lawyers. We practice real estate, family law, trusts and estates. But letβs be clear, we took an oath, too, and want to help.
Thank you so much!
As Justice Robert Jackson said, "the lawyer and the law office are indispensable parts of our administration of justice." If you are an attorney wondering what you can do to preserve the rule of law in the United States, check out this important and incredibly timely project.

"I asked God to forgive me, which he has."
Honestly this is the biggest perk of serving in Congress. Most people have to ask forgiveness and wonder. If you're in Congress you get a same day answer from the big guy.

READ THIS by former Ohio Supreme Court Justices OβConnor & Donnelly. Along with 130 lawyers, they're urging their community to plan NOW for if the authoritarian tactics we're seeing across the country come to Cleveland. A model for other cities to follow. www.cleveland.com/opinion/2026...
