aha! ive discovered why i like this so much! Sanguine Technique is a specific drawing technique done with sanguine/red chalk that was especially common during the renaissance, for example. it fell out of popularity compared to graphite and charcoal, but the chalk remains

unironically one of the most pleasant tones for a sketch / under drawing ive ever found. this seems infinitely more versatile than red because this is so complimentary to a larger range of skintones
it was kept with the charcoal pencils, i was drawn to it because it had the sketch effect that the typical portrait underpainting (Burnt Sienna) color does. then it seemed obvious how well it works for a redhead like Lyta. whats great is how satisfying the effect of smudging with the finger was

in many ways these kinds of medications feel like reducing a background noise that would otherwise drown out your ability to actively live a life or think for longer periods of time. you wont know how loud your brain is until you feel it become quieter, manageable. like vision coming into focus
they dont actively "feel" like youre taking anything. which is a positive but also why it can be risky. you may not realize increased suicidiality, irritability, etc is a medication side effect when youre trying to take said medication to reduce those symptoms
by comparison, Wellbutrin does NOT mess with my sleep, my perception of reality, nor create psychosis / manic symptoms. it allows me to Feel a wider range of feelings again, and pairs with ADHD medication to provide MOTIVATION that increased focus needs
at first i thought the SSRI i was on (fluxotine) was helping me. i was unable to access an ADHD diagnosis or treatment at the time. at first it seemed to reduce the anger, overwhelm, overstimulation. but came with side effects i couldnt even notice or distinguish
im one of the people who learned i react poorly to SSRIs the hard way (by taking one for two years) only last year did i start taking Wellbutrin (a non-SSRI) and its been life changing for me! generally you get used to the baseline they create very quickly and wont notice their effects +

one of the most common things i see when reading about and learning about all avenues of financial aid for college is the overwhelming number of students whose parents actively refuse to help them with school expenses AND refuse to offer any documentation that'd help their kid
