100%; I can skew elitist but at some point you have to understand > 50% of people wanting something does not in any way mean that is the right thing to do; you are elected to make hard choices, not appease the masses
but doesn’t love sit above story in the grand hierarchy? Or does love require story? Can one make a compelling “argument” if done in love albeit absent story?
I’ve struggled with this recently due to things going on in my life - why do we study debate and logic if they’re powerless unless connected to story? Why does Paul use much less story than Jesus? I firmly believe in the power of story and imagination…
Thanks for sharing!
Probably paid a consultant $20 million to make today’s decision as well

Love FDC; that Waxahatchee / MJ Lenderman track is very strong as well (they are both incredible artists)
I still recall Jamie Smith recommending Julian Barnes and his work in this Faith Angle Forum talk from 2016 eppc.org/publication/...
@adamrshields.bsky.social has been doing the Lord’s work via his reviews for years; his efforts have benefited me numerous times over the years
I’ve thought about this often as well; no real guess on my part but I think ruminating on it is a helpful exercise in itself
Agreed, good names here; love both Hovvdy and Grandaddy and saw VW in DC for the first time back in September
Amen
