I’m saying the data doesn’t flow through ConnectID at all. ConnectID introduces the relying party to the identity provider, and tells them they are both certified participants.
LDAP -> SAML -> OAuth -> FIDO -> OIDC -> FAPI -> VC. The digital identity alphabet soup.

Well it’s only taken 25 years or so, but finally, my reasonably obscure area of IT is in the news and I’m able to talk to people about it on here!
ConnectID doesn’t see or store any consumer data. It’s the network operator, setting the standards, connecting the relying parties and the four major banks (aka identity providers), all of whom are certified by ConnectID.
