I might be missing something here in terms of the enthusiasm because it’s just a primary. Got to be careful not to take too much away from this. What is clear are the number of D election wins in deeply R areas that voted DJT by a large margin in 2024. That is more valuable I think.

Well, I agree with the spirit of your post that America has had a hegemony problem from the end of WWII. But many of these did have congressional approval including the first Gulf war in Iraq, several of the forays into Somalia and the 2nd Iraq war and 2002 Afghanistan war to name a few.
