Honestly, the BEST thing about Firefly was it getting cancelled. That gave it this nebulous potential to be even greater, people could look at the 6/10 we got and imagine the 12/10 that could have potentially existed.

You can’t imagine Batman being that flexible with genre nowadays.
I’ll defend the Burton Batman flicks and Mask of the Phantasm til my dying breath, but the former were gothic fabulism and the latter was a full on romance drama!
