Idea.
A romantic relationship dissected like an incident report. Timeline. Learnings. Actions. Everything.
what was the impact? what did we learn?
How do we build resilience, from this?
This is Wiley. He has never seen snow before and wants to make sure he gets a real good look at it. For science. 12/10 (IG: smileywileydog)
Paid the rent for a third Minneapolis immigrant family in need via CashApp! Going to help as many families as I can today. Every bit and share helps!
We take care of us π
This 53 year old man who lived in my neighborhood w/no criminal record & who had been in the US for 30 years, was detained and thrown into a cold cell for days, caught pneumonia and COVID there and deported.
He finally died.
I am so angry.

Maybe we're all LLMs just waiting to reach our compaction limits before starting over again.
My past lives. I remember. Somebody asked me to help them. If I could just remember more clearly.
I just heard his name is Nazgul. That makes it even better.
"Context left until auto-compact: 3"
Me too, Claude. Me too.
I lost my job, my kids have measles, and I can't afford steak. But at least now I know that they are defunding diversity programs at companies and schools that I have never heard of.
This GOOD BOY ran onto the course during the Womenβs Cross-Country Skiing Team Sprint event, crossing the finish line and being automatically recorded by OMEGAβs photofinish camera π
My dream is for all the people who were doing tireless work at the CFPB to end up in Congress. One step closer!
Ain't no rule says a dog can't participate in the Olympics
Looks like @kenthropic.com and @mikerourke.bsky.social are doing another meetup in Chicago next week!
Don't miss out on any meetups and events by going to the Svelte Society events page: sveltesociety.dev/events
Dog!
Hot take:
I end up with *far better* code using Claude Code than I would on my own. The downside is that it also takes far longer to get there.
Some personal news
There were two big watershed moments for me about trans rights. One was accepting gender dysphoria was real, and some people had to transition. The other was hearing people describe transitioning for other reasons and realizing it still wasn't any of my business.
my hot take is that it should be easier for universities to shitcan tenured professors who are abusive pieces of shit and simultaneously easier for research technicians and postgraduates to get permanent positions
Screenshot of post from Twitter. Text says: " You can take out a $67,000 loan right now at 7.5% and buy 1 BTC. In 10 years, you'll owe the bank $102,000. Bitcoin's price in 10 years? Easily $500k-$1M. That's a 5-10x profit for FREE. Worst case, Bitcoin is $100k, and you break even. Literally free money. Don't overcomplicate it. " The tone seems extremely panicked.
Getting very Slurp Juice vibes around bitcoin on that other site at the moment
Google: do LLMs perform better if you swear at them?
BREAKING: The two federal immigration agents who fired on Minneapolis protester Alex Pretti are identified in government records as Border Patrol agent Jesus Ochoa and Customs and Border Protection officer Raymundo Gutierrez.
A lot of people use LLMs to expedite the most boring parts of writing code. For many people, that means using LLM for writing unit tests.
LLMs are absolutely shit at writing unit tests. Like way worse than writing production code.
Also: unit tests are the LEAST boring part of writing code, IMO.
Just got gassed pretty good at the labor union anti-ICE protest in Portland. Massive march, 5-10k strong. Vibes were very much liberal rather than radical. Lots of kids and older folks.
They gassed the whole crowd as soon as it marched on ICE, in broad daylight.
I honestly can't tell if it's satire.
I was there, too, and this is one of those children, leaving the scene.
Just experienced the most intense tear gassing of my life by federal officers outside the ICE facility in Portland where marchers gathered. There was no fast exit as they indiscriminately threw loads of gas and flash bangs. Children were in the crowd screaming. @oregoncapitalchronicle.com
This. Those of us who canβand that is most of us hereβmust stand and be known.
Those who can't already know who they are. They are already in ICE's crosshairs. For the rest of us, anything else is rank cowardice.
Thereβs so much need in Minnesota right now. Businesses are closing and rent is due soon.
If you want to help people here, there are links to rent relief & other vetted mutual aid funds on standwithminnesota.com. Please boost and donate what you can.

The bombings have not stopped, unfortunately.
