The US and Iran have obviously not been at war for 47 years, as regime propagandists tell us. What has been going on for 47 years is the Saudi-Iranian regional proxy war. So the propaganda defines us as a Saudi proxy state.
The word imminent means something is about to happen, especially something significant, often unpleasant, and very soon.
47 years is not imminent. These warmongers are very stupid people.
FT comments section this morning - saying what everyone else is thinking, right?
Im no fan of Iran (an awful regime ruling over mainly lovely people) but it is less of a threat to world peace right now than the United States and Israel.
This aged well. Note the author.
"Anon are you pro-Iran?" No, we are anti-illegal wars.
"Anon but the Iran regime.." Make your case at the UNSC for a war if you believe in your claims.
"Anon Iran helped Russia" And that doesn't mean we too have to follow Russia's lead in wars of aggression.
Just saying, but when people are trying to do everything they can to prevent you from voting, that’s when you absolutely need to vote.
Ready to make this the biggest midterm turnout in history?
Congratulations. You harassed a married staffer until she submitted to your perversions leading to her suicide and still kept your job because the Republican Party stands for nothing except the acquisition of power. Congrats, Tony. bsky.app/profile/atru...
Nine months ago, the United States "completely and totally obliterated" Iran's nuclear program.
Tonight, we're attacking Iran to disrupt their nuclear program.
A sizable percentage of this country thinks that's normal.
Having the energy to attack Iran because "it's dangerous and totalitarian" but not keeping that energy to attack Russia, which is dangerous at a global scale, totalitarian, planning to invade Europe, and threatening to launch nuclear weapons every two weeks, doesn't really seem coherent.
“.. Iran launched an unprecedented wave of airstrikes in the region targeting US bases and fracturing the emirate’s long-held image of a haven in a tough neighborhood.”

It would be cool to have a legislature that acted to defend its own constitutional prerogatives and, maybe as a treat, the interests of the people it represents too.
There better be a damn good reason an elementary school was designated as a military target.
To be clear, it's a war crime to use non-military targets like a school as a shield for military forces. So if Iran did that, I expect to see some damn good evidence demonstrating that was the case.
You can try to justify the war with Iran in any which way you want, but all I see is cowards and criminals who won't face the real threat in Moscow, and in fact collaborate with it.
THIS.
The American bombardment of Iran has been launched without explanation, without Congress, without public support. Above all it has been launched without a coherent strategy for the Iranian people, and without a plan to let them build a legitimate Iranian state.

Donald is now killing kids to distract from his raping them.
Think of how bad things must be for a Supreme Court Justice to feel he has to explain why it's a good idea to have laws enacted by legislators instead of decreed by wannabe dictators
Democrats need to hammer on these 3 tariff issues:
1. They were a tax on American consumers;
2. The Supreme Court (including Republican justices) ruled that they were illegal; and
3. Even if they're repaid (they won't be), the money goes to corporations, not consumers who paid more at the store.
MAHA was always a con. It was always about the ego and ambition of a drug-addled narcissistic fraud.
10% yesterday.
15% today.
As Gorsuch wrote, could be “1 percent or 1,000,000 percent .. and he may change his mind at any time for nearly any reason.” 🤡

👀The federal judges in West Virginia, where ICE has been pulling over and detaining people on the freeway, are literally screaming about ICE's tactics.
"It is an assault on the constitutional order," Judge Goodwin says. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...
MIKE JOHNSON: There have been tragedies in Mpls brought about in large measure by governor & local officials inciting violence
WELKER: They're calling for peaceful protest
J: They're also saying to resist
W: But these state & local officials didn't pull the triggers that left these Americans dead
In all seriousness, how can it be that the official now in charge in Minnesota was caught by the FBI on video taking $50,000 to steer government business, and walking out with the money, which we still haven't seen. How is he still working in Administration, not to mention not behind bars?
At the very least, Congress must disarm ICE, prohibit it from using racial or ethnic profiling, end arrest quotas, remove agents’ immunity from criminal prosecution and civil lawsuits, and slash its funding. The Senate has the chance to rein in ICE this week.
